The client wanted a soft contemporary home with maximum views of Lake Minnetonka. The plan was designed such that each room has views of the lake. In addition, the interior stair was designed to be directly opposite of the main entry to enable a large window at the stair landing, which is the initial view of the lake as guests enter the home. The stair location also allows a guest to walk down a half flight of stairs and out to an exterior cascade of steps to the lake. A large covered terrace with phantom screens is adjacent to the kitchen for informal outdoor dining and refreshing views of the lake.
