Edina 3

The owners of this one-story rambler wanted to lighten up the existing dark woodwork and have a prairie style character. We changed all of the millwork and cabinets to Maple wood and raised the main living space to provide a clerestory window, which lightened up the interior. We also added stone, horizontal soffits and slate to create a prairie style character to both the interior and exterior of the home.

The existing kitchen had white plastic laminate countertops, brass light fixtures, outdated wallpaper, window treatments and appliances. We replaced the countertops with beige toned granite to add warmth and be compatible with the existing maple wood floors. All of the brass  hardware was replaced with oil rubbed bronze and all of the appliances were replaced with new appliances that fit the space better. The strawberry wallpaper was removed and the walls were painted with a warm beige color for a warm cozy finish.
